KD Fasteners, Inc.’s Titanium Grade 2 hex nuts have excellent stiffness, toughness and high strength combined with low density and weight.
Additionally, they have outstanding corrosion resistance due to a strongly adherent, stable and protective oxide film which forms on Titanium Grade 2 when in the presence of oxygen. This film makes Titanium Grade 2 resistant to most oxidizing, neutral and inhibited reducing as well as mildly reducing environments.
These characteristics make Titanium Grade 2 hex nuts useful in a broad range of corrosive environments including salt water, acids, alkalis and other industrial chemicals. These hex nuts are resistant to solutions containing chlorites, hypochlorites, chlorates, perchlorates and chlorine dioxide.
Titanium Grade 2 hex nuts are the most economical options when comparing all of KD Fasteners Inc.’s Titanium grades.
