Similar to serrated flange nuts, non-serrated flange nuts are a hex nut with a non-spinning washer attached at the bottom. Underneath the washer is smooth underneath the flange and does not contain serrations. Non-serrated flange nuts are used when material has to be flat to the surface. This nut will not dig in to the mounting surface causing a better continuity between the two surfaces.
We carry non-serrated flange nuts in metric and inch. In metric we carry them per DIN 6923 (standard non-serrated flange lock nut) and DIN6927 (flange top lock nut). We offer metric in stainless steel (A2 and A4) and in class 8 and 10 steel.
We also offer them case harden, grade 5, grade 8, and large flange diameter in our inch line. Our large flange diameter nuts can be 6% to 25% wider than the standard flange nut of the same size. Our inch line non-serrated flange nuts include standard non-serrated flange nuts, grade G flange lock nuts, and CFLF / CFLG series all metal top lock nuts.
KD Fasteners, Inc.® carries them stock in zinc, zinc/yellow, black phosphate, and also in 18-8 stainless steel. We can also supply them in different styles of plating as well such as Magni 565, black oxide and others.
